Dick Molman

Dick Molman (1954) was educated in marketing, business planning, finance and organizational development. He has more than 25 years of experience in the publishing business and has worked for leading companies in the industry.


Dick Molman started his career with the VNU Publishing Group in 1975. After having fulfilled numerous marketing functions within the company, he became Publishing Director of youth magazines in 1982. In October 1991, he was appointed Managing Director of the publishing company Veldhuis, a position he held until November 1995 when he relinquished that role to lead the advertising sales house Admedia.


In 1998, Dick Molman was appointed Managing Director of VNU Business Publications in the Netherlands, the leading publishing company of trade and special interest magazines such as Intermediair, Computable, PCM Computer Idee and Management Team. In addition, he was responsible for the VNU Business Publications in Germany, a subsidiary responsible for the publishing of computer magazines.


Since June 2002, Dick Molman has been CEO of VNU Exhibitions Europe, the largest independent Dutch exhibition organizer committed to organize creative and profitable platforms that connect people and markets.


Four years later, Dick Molman was appointed CEO of Sanoma Uitgevers and member of the Management Board of Sanoma Magazines. Since August 2006, Dick Molman gives leadership to one of the most prominent media companies in the Netherlands. In this position, he is responsible for more than 70 magazine titles both as magazine related online activities, independent sites and line- & brand extensions.
