Within the Sanoma Magazines Division, Sanoma Magazines International (SMI) is responsible for Sanoma Magazines’ activities in Central, East and South East Europe, Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).


Throughout this region Sanoma Magazines International has created a platform for geographical expansion. Sanoma Magazines International´s objective is to be or become the number one consumer magazine publisher in its chosen markets. With this objective in mind Sanoma Magazines International seeks expansion into other European countries and optimization of opportunities and revenues through synergies and the development of multi media concepts.


Sanoma Magazines International’s portfolio comprises approximately 140 magazines, both consumer magazines and business-to-business titles, and various newspapers, websites, fairs and events.


Sanoma Magazines International uses the internet to actively communicate with its readers, customers and advertisers. The company has magazine related websites as well as a rapidly growing number of stand-alone websites.


The net sales of Sanoma Magazines International in 2007 were €283,4 million.
